I love this quote from Alice in Wonderland and it makes sense for your marketing as well.
If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take you there!
The first step in your marketing plan must be clarifying what you want to achieve, setting your objectives out.
Give yourself clear goals that take the business towards it’s strategic objectives.
For example, if you target a specific sector, include this in your plan with measurable targets against that sector. Ensure any agencies or consultants you work with are aware of these from the outset as well as it will help to focus their efforts.
You no doubt know that your goals should be SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, results-focused, and time- bound)…
…but do you actually stick to that?
Next time you tackle your marketing, consider spending 10 minutes revisiting your goals and checking your activities are aligned with them.
